Renovated Camp Nou Set for 2029 Champions League Final as UEFA Locks In Venues

UEFA’s latest venue announcement places Barcelona’s Camp Nou at the centre of the 2029 Champions League final. The stadium’s ongoing renovation, which began in 2023, aims to deliver a state‑of‑the‑art facility while retaining its historic ambience. After a temporary two‑year relocation, the club returned to the site in November, and full completion is projected for late 2027 or early 2028.

The 2028 final will be hosted by Munich’s Allianz Arena, a venue with a proven record of handling marquee events, having staged the final in 2012 and the recent 2025 edition.

UEFA also detailed the locations for other major finals through 2029. The Women’s Champions League will move from Lyon’s Parc Olympique to Cardiff’s National Stadium for the 2029 edition. Europa League finals will be contested in Bucharest (2028) and Belgrade (2029), while the Conference League will shift from Juventus Stadium in Turin to the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.
