Recap of performances so far in India-West Indies T20 series
The five‑match Twenty20 series between India and West Indies has produced a blend of dominant batting displays and disciplined bowling spells. India’s batting order has hit peak form, with Abhishek Sharma delivering a blistering 69 off just 30 deliveries in the third game. Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan also contributed valuable runs, while Sanju Samson’s 82 in the second T20 helped set solid totals.
In the bowling department, Arshdeep Singh emerged as a standout, taking three wickets in the third encounter. India retained the same eleven for the fourth match, trusting the combination that performed well earlier.
West Indies, on the other hand, have proved formidable chasers. After successfully pursuing 250 runs in the second T20, they posted 209 while chasing 224 in the third. Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford have been consistent with both bat and ball, while the pace attack, excluding Roston Chase, has struggled to contain runs.
Both teams entered the Hyderabad showdown with clear strategies: India opting to bowl first to exploit the hard surface, and West Indies looking to strengthen their batting depth with the inclusion of Shepherd and Andrew.
