Ravichandran Ashwin Praises Spin Trio After India's Dominant Galle Win

Former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to his YouTube channel after the Galle Test to commend the performances of Manish Suthar, Ravindra Jadeja and the team’s overall spin strategy.

Ashwin described Suthar as a bowler whose primary weapon is exceptional ball rotation, making him a constant threat on turning tracks. He noted that Jadeja, while no longer a pure attacking spinner, uses his vast experience to maintain tight control and pick crucial wickets.

The former off‑spinner also applauded the collective effort of the Indian side, pointing out that the first‑innings average at Galle stands at 433 runs. With India winning the toss and posting over 450 runs, the pressure on Sri Lanka was immense.

Ashwin highlighted the contributions of Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, but emphasized that Suthar’s ten‑wicket haul would dominate conversations in the coming days.
