Heavy rain and strong winds on Sunday evening caused rainwater to accumulate on Oriol's Field in Valencia, prompting officials to postpone the match between Levant UD and Athletic Bilbao.

A joint inspection by La Liga and the refereeing panel determined that the pitch failed to meet the required standards for a safe competition. Levant's sporting director, Hector Rodas, explained to journalists that the conditions made it impossible to continue, reaffirming the club's commitment to player and fan welfare.

Supporters were calmly escorted from the upper stands to the stadium's lower sections, where they waited for the weather to clear before exiting safely.
