PSG lifts second straight Super Cup as Quaratzelia and Doé shine

Paris Saint‑Germain secured a historic back‑to‑back UEFA Super Cup triumph in Salzburg, defeating Aston Villa 2‑1 on 13 August. The match featured decisive contributions from Khvicha Quaratzelia and Desire Doé, whose partnership produced the opening goal.

Quaratzelia, who starred in the previous season’s Super Cup, collected Doé’s pass, cut inside and fired a low, powerful shot that beat goalkeeper Marco Bizot.

Aston Villa’s response came from teenage prodigy Bryan Madjo, whose strike reduced the deficit and earned him the distinction of being the youngest player to score in the competition.

The winning moment arrived in the 61st minute when substitute Osman Dembele delivered a precise through ball to Bizot, allowing him to double the lead with a calm finish.
