Priya Ghanghas Misses Final, Returns Home with Bronze from Asian Games 2026

Young Indian boxer Priya Ghanghas concluded her Asian Games journey with a bronze medal after a 1‑4 loss to China’s Yang Chengyu in the semi‑final. Ghanghas opened the fight aggressively, but Yang’s disciplined defence and balanced attack limited her rhythm. The Chinese contender took control early, maintaining pressure throughout the match and preventing Priya from finding her timing. Although Ghanghas showed flashes of power, the decisive advantage stayed with Yang, who progressed to the gold‑medal contest. The bronze adds to India’s overall boxing haul, while Ghanghas gains valuable experience for future tournaments.
