Pratika Rawal Hits Career-Best ODI Rank After Zimbabwe Series

The latest ICC women's rankings have brought mixed news for India's top players and notable gains for several cricketers from other teams. Smriti Mandhana has surrendered the No. 1 spot in ODI batting, while Pratika Rawal has reached a career-best position.

After scoring 32 in the first ODI against Zimbabwe and getting out without scoring in the second, Mandhana lost important ranking points. South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt has regained the top position in the ODI batting list.

India are 2-0 up in the three-match series and are now focused on a clean sweep. Several Indian players have improved their rankings following the series.

Former India captain Harmanpreet Kaur rose two places to eighth in the ODI batters' list, while Deepti Sharma climbed four spots to 23rd. Both scored centuries in the second ODI, which helped them move up the standings.

In the all-rounders' list, Deepti Sharma moved two places up to fourth. She also gained one place in the ODI bowling rankings to reach eighth. Kranti Gaud climbed two spots to 25th among bowlers.

Pratika Rawal made the biggest headline with a seven-place jump to 21st, her best ranking so far. In T20 rankings, Shafali Verma moved up to third and Smriti Mandhana to fourth.

Zimbabwe's players also made progress in the ODI batting rankings. Modester Mupachikwa rose five places to 39th, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano moved up four spots to 47th, and Belinda Bija made the biggest leap of the trio, climbing 16 places to 56th.

Elsewhere, following a recent series against New Zealand, Australia's Ash Gardner jumped nine places to 19th in the T20 batting rankings. Georgia Wareham and Kim Garth moved to joint seventh and joint 10th respectively among T20 bowlers.

New Zealand's Bree Illing climbed six places to 17th in the T20 bowling rankings, while Nancy Patel reached 29th after the series.
