From Hangzhou to Nagoya: Pranati Nayak Improves Asian Games Vault Ranking

The Asian Games in Nagoya saw Indian vault specialist Pranati Nayak climb one spot higher than her 2023 Hangzhou performance, finishing sixth with a total of 13.100 points. Both of her vaults earned identical scores of 12.900, each comprising a 4.4 difficulty component and an 8.5 execution rating, plus a 0.20 bonus.

In the qualification round she logged 12.916 points, ranking seventh and securing a place among the eight finalists. Her final round vaults were marked at 13.000 and 12.433 respectively.

Gold went to South Korea’s Yeo Si‑Jong, silver to North Korea’s An Chang‑Ok, and bronze to China’s Du Xiu. Pranati, a former Olympic participant, previously placed eighth in Hangzhou with a 12.350 score.
