Pintér’s First MLS Goal Comes via Messi and Suarez Assist

Daniel Pintér celebrated his inaugural MLS goal in a 2‑2 draw against Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park. The Brazilian‑born forward’s strike was the result of a two‑player sequence involving Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez.

Messi, operating on the left, fed Suárez with a low pass. Suárez turned the ball with a deft header toward the centre of the box, where Pintér met it with a composed finish. The goal marked Pintér’s first tally in the league.

Messi later added his own goal in the 26th minute, a curling effort from the right side that gave Miami a brief advantage. The Union equalised through Neil Pierre in the second half, and the match ended tied.

Miami remains second in the Eastern Conference, sitting on 39 points after the 20‑game regular‑season schedule.
