PBKS vs LSG IPL 2025: In the 54th match of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings (PBKS) won a stunning victory by defeating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 37 runs. Punjab batsmen performed a bang in this match played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala. Thanks to Prabhasimran Singh’s stormy innings of 91 runs, Punjab batted first and scored 236 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. But in response, Lucknow’s team could score only 199 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be heavy for the team. Apart from Prabhasimran for Punjab, captain Shreyas Iyer scored 55 runs, Shashank Singh scored 33 runs and Josh English scored 30 runs. Among the bowlers of Lucknow, Prince Yadav and Digvesh Rathi got 2-2 success.
Chasing a huge target of 236 runs, Lucknow’s team could only score 199 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Ayush Badoni scored the highest 74 runs while Abdul Samad scored a fast innings of 45 runs. However, he did not get much support from other batsmen. For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets, while Ajmatullah Umrajai got 2 wickets.
With this victory, Punjab has strengthened its position in the table and maintained itself in the playoff race.
