Parveen Hooda Dominates Quarter‑Final, Sets Up Gold Medal Bout

The Indian contender Parveen Hooda showcased tactical brilliance in her Asian Games quarter‑final, outclassing Chinese opponent Liu Shu with a 5‑0 unanimity from the judging panel. While the first round was decided by a slim 3‑2 margin, Hooda’s defensive counters laid the groundwork. She then shifted gears, applying pressure and landing cleaner blows in the second and third rounds, each scored 5‑0. The victory locks her into the 65 kg women’s final where she will contend with Chen Nien‑Chin, a seasoned Olympic and world bronze medallist, for the top podium spot.
