The World Ability Sports Board’s executive member and President of the Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of India, Rajesh Tomar, reiterated the commitment to host the 2029 Games. He noted that the event, formerly known as the “Aivaz Games,” now carries the Ability Sports designation and regularly attracts close to a thousand athletes. India’s goal is to expand participation to approximately 1,500 athletes, reflecting the nation’s emphasis on inclusivity and talent development. Tomar highlighted the federation’s work with children born with cerebral palsy, many of whom have already earned medals at the Para Asian Games, underscoring the growing pipeline of elite para‑athletes.
