Off-spinner Alis Al Islam Gets ODI Debut Opportunity in Bangladesh Squad

Bangladesh Cricket Board has handed off‑spinner Alis Al Islam a chance to debut in the One Day International arena. Alis, who bowled four overs for 18 runs and claimed a wicket against Sri Lanka at the Asian Games, has been included in the 16‑man squad for the triangular series in the UAE. The series, featuring Zimbabwe and Afghanistan, will follow a round‑robin format with a final on October 23. Liton Das will captain the side, supported by vice‑captain Touhid Hiraidoy. The squad also features experienced players like Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Hasan Mahmud, alongside fast bowler Nahid Hasan, who has taken eight wickets in five T20 internationals.
