OCA welcomes India’s readiness to host Asian aquatic championships

The Olympic Council of Asia expressed strong support for India’s upcoming role as a host for Asian‑level aquatic championships. In a meeting held at the Aichi‑Nagoya venue, OCA’s Director General and World Aquatics President Captain Hussein Al‑Musalim applauded the Indian Sports Ministry’s efforts.

Mansukh Mandaviya reiterated India’s commitment to expanding the aquatic sports ecosystem, from grassroots participation to elite competition. He outlined a roadmap that includes infrastructure upgrades, coaching exchanges, and youth‑focused outreach.

Both sides agreed that the collaboration would not only benefit Indian athletes but also reinforce a continent‑wide network of sports development, fostering greater competitiveness ahead of future Asian Games editions.
