Upcoming NZ T20 Series Seen as Crucial Warm‑up for Champions Trophy

Australia will host New Zealand for a three‑match T20 series starting Sunday. Nitsche described the series as a “key warm‑up” before the Champions Trophy, especially as New Zealand bring a new coaching staff and several young players. “They’ll be competitive and we must be cautious,” she warned. The series will be the last international T20s for Australia before the February 2027 Champions Trophy, after which the team heads to Sri Lanka for a three‑match ODI set.
