Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Rajasthan’s Road Map Through Group Stage
Rajasthan’s campaign in the Saeed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2026/27 has been mapped out with a clear schedule and a balanced squad. Deepak Chahar, a seasoned Indian international bowler, captains the side, while left‑arm spinner Manav Suthur serves as vice‑captain.
All seven league fixtures will be hosted in Mumbai, starting with a November 14 opener against Uttar Pradesh. The group stage timeline includes Jharkhand on November 16, Chandigarh on November 18, a day‑night showdown with Baroda on November 20, and a trip to Mizoram on November 22.
The final two matches see Rajasthan take on Karnataka (Nov 24) and Bengal (Nov 26), concluding Elite Group A duties. The squad blends experience and youth: Deepak and Rahul Chahar, both capped at the senior level, are alongside IPL alumni Mahipal Lomror, Kartik Sharma and Mukul Choudhary.
Additional talents such as Abhijit Tomar, Ajay Raj Singh, Kunal Singh Rathore, Honey Pratap Singh, Himanshu Singh Rana, Rameshvas Golada, Rohan Rajbahar, Himanshu Nehra and Abhishek Mund round out the 15‑member roster. Injured left‑arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed missed selection after hamstring surgery, leaving space for the current roster.
With a mix of international experience, IPL exposure, and domestic grit, Rajasthan aims to secure a top‑two finish and move beyond the group phase.
