MI vs RCB: Bangalore beats Mumbai by seven wickets, qualifies for playoffs

In the 19th match of the Women's Premier League 2024, Mumbai Indians faced Royal Challengers Bangalore. Batting first, Mumbai had given a target of 114 runs, which Bangalore achieved in 15 overs and qualified for the playoffs. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by seven wickets. With this victory, Smriti Mandhana's team became the third team to qualify for the playoffs.

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals have already qualified for the playoffs. Mumbai has played all its eight matches in the league round and has 10 points. Whereas Delhi has 10 points after seven matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore qualified for the playoffs with eight points from eight matches. With this UP Warriors and Gujarat Giants are out.

UP has six points and Gujarat has four points. The top ranked team will directly qualify for the finals. The second and third placed teams will play the eliminator match. Batting first after losing the toss, the entire Mumbai team was limited to 113 runs in 19 overs. Ellis Perry bowled lethally and took six wickets. Bangalore achieved the target by losing three wickets in 15 overs. Ellyse Perry remained unbeaten on 40 runs and Richa Ghosh remained unbeaten on 36 runs.
