Manu Bhaker to Walk With Pawan Seharawat Carrying Indian Tricolor at Asian Games

Olympic shooting medalist Manu Bhaker will join kabaddi ace Pawan Seharawat as India’s flag bearers for the Asian Games 2026 opening ceremony.

Both athletes expressed mutual admiration. Bhaker, who secured two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics, praised Seharawat’s dedication and said walking side‑by‑side with a fellow champion will be a memorable experience.

Seharawat recalled meeting Bhaker previously at a national sports meet, where she delivered an inspiring speech to the Indian contingent. He added that sharing the podium with an Olympic medalist elevates the significance of the role.

The pair will lead the Indian delegation in Nagoya, symbolising the country’s blend of traditional strength and modern sporting excellence.
