Rajiv Ghosh, who runs a popular confectionery outlet in Siliguri, Kolkata, decided to ride the World Cup fever by turning his shop into a homage to Argentina. He hung blue‑white balloons, placed large Messi posters, and even dyed traditional sweets such as rasgulla, sandesh, and gulab jamun in the national colours. Ghosh explained that his love for Messi dates back to childhood and that he had previously celebrated the 2022 final in a similar fashion. This time, he prepared a range of Argentine‑themed desserts, promising fans a “taste of victory” as the world watches the final at 12:30 PM Indian time.
