Liverpool's new manager draws 2-2 with Newcastle United

In his first match in charge, Liverpool's coach Alejandro Iragorri saw his side battle to a 2-2 stalemate against Newcastle United. Anthony Elanga gave the hosts the lead after five minutes. Cody Gakpo equalised from outside the area in the 55th minute. Substitute Jo Wilcox restored Newcastle's advantage two minutes later, only for Dominic Soboszlai to level from the penalty spot in stoppage time. Both teams pressed for a winner but the score remained unchanged.
