Kuldip Yadav earns Impact Player title as India beats West Indies 2‑1
India’s 2‑1 ODI series triumph over West Indies saw left‑arm wrist spin bowler Kuldip Yadav receive the Impact Player of the Series accolade. Yadav topped the bowling charts with seven wickets, taking four of them on the Tiruvananthapuram pitch. The landmark also made him the quickest Indian spinner to reach the 200‑wicket milestone in One‑Day Internationals.
Team physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar lauded Yadav’s unwavering commitment, stating that the bowler kept delivering high‑quality performances regardless of fitness challenges. Parmar highlighted the dual achievement of the award and the 200‑wicket mark.
In his remarks, Yadav thanked captain Shubman Gill, senior batsmen Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma for providing a strong batting platform. He also recalled a pre‑series session in Tiruvananthapuram that helped him maintain his rhythm throughout the matches.
