Junior Women’s Hockey Championship 2026: Final Set for Pune

The climax of the 16th Hockey India Junior Women’s National Championship will be played on Sunday at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium, outskirts of Pune. The final features Jharkhand and Haryana.

Jharkhand, under captain Rajni Kereketta, opened with a 6‑0 win over Chandigarh, followed by a 3‑1 triumph over Punjab. After a 1‑1 draw with Odisha, they won the shoot‑out 4‑3 and repeated the penalty drama to beat Madhya Pradesh 2‑1 in the semi‑finals.

Haryana, captained by Shashi Khasa, started with a 10‑1 victory over Bengal, then 3‑0 over Odisha, 3‑1 over Chandigarh and an 8‑0 semi‑final demolition of Chhattisgarh, finishing with 24 goals for and two against.
