Junior Squash World Championships: Anahat Singh Heads Indian Women’s Squad

The upcoming World Junior Squash Championship in Ontario, Canada (20‑31 July) features India’s top‑seeded Anahat Singh in the women’s bracket. Aryveer Diwan will represent the men’s side with a 5/8 seed.

Anahat, ranked 20th among junior women worldwide, earned a bronze in the semi‑finals last season and is now set to chase her first world junior crown. Her professional record since 2023 includes 16 singles titles, among them the British Junior Open U‑15 victory.

Earlier achievements comprise the Asian Junior Under‑17 title in Dalian (2023) and bronze medals in mixed doubles and the team event at the 2022 Asian Games. She also secured the senior national championship in November 2023 and was part of the team that lifted the 2025 World Cup, delivering India’s maiden SWC trophy.

Anahat’s early success story – from winning the British Junior Open U‑11 in 2019 to dominating the junior circuit – positions her as a future stalwart of Indian squash.

Other Indian men in the draw include Yusha Nafis, Gurveer Singh, and Poorav Rambhia, while the women’s squad is complemented by Rudra Singh, Anika Dubey and Sanvi Kalanki.
