ISL 13 Opener: Churchill Brothers Secure 2-1 Win at Fatorda

At the Fatorda Stadium, Churchill Brothers SC kicked off their ISL 13 journey by beating Mumbai City FC 2-1. Early chances saw Mumbai dominate possession, but the visitors responded swiftly; a corner cleared by Brandon Fernandes was met by a rapid counter‑attack, though it went just over the bar. The halftime interval brought a tactical shift as Bora replaced Yole, giving the side an all‑Indian back line. In the second half, the Islanders pressed for a lead, with Anil Gaunkar delivering a cross that Bora converted with a header. A late penalty by Llamas could not overturn the 2-1 outcome.
