According to reports, some BCCI officials are in UAE to explore the possibility of shifting the second phase of IPL to the Gulf country. BCCI can take this big decision after the announcement of general election dates. Announcing the election dates, the Election Commission of India said that the first phase of voting is to be held on April 19.

According to reports, some IPL teams have asked their players to submit their passports. Due to this, speculations about shifting the venue out of India have also intensified. The first phase of the 2014 IPL was also held in the UAE due to the general elections. Let us tell you that BCCI has announced the schedule of the first phase of IPL, which includes 21 matches. The opening match is to be held between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, while the last match of this schedule will be held on April 7 between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans in Lucknow.
