The controversy surrounding FIFA’s aborted investment proposal has reignited calls for leadership change at the highest level. Following the reversal, Infantino issued an apology to all 211 member associations, but the damage to his credibility persisted. UEFA has already voiced doubts about his ability to command trust within the organization, accusing FIFA of bypassing proper consultation before unveiling the scheme.
