Injury sustained on India tour sidelines Australian pacer Darci Brown

During Australia's recent bilateral tour of India, fast bowler Darci Brown aggravated a pre‑existing disc issue in her spine. The 23‑year‑old played two T20s and one ODI before the pain forced her to quit the tour early and fly back to Australia for assessment.

Medical staff found that the injury has not healed enough for her to rejoin training, and consequently she will miss the forthcoming Women's Big Bash League. Australian selectors had hoped she could recover by the league's midway point, but the latest scans showed she needs a longer rehabilitation period.
