Indian Speed Climbing Youth Team Shines in Italy as Khosla Breaks Personal Best Twice

The Indian contingent at the World Youth Climbing Championship featured Amira Khosla, Shlok Dadukar, Neal Warke and Rudra Karandikar. While Khosla captured headlines with a 7.60‑second sprint for sixth place, her teammates also posted respectable times – Dadukar 6.76 seconds (27th), Warke 7.33 seconds (35th) and Karandikar 8.47 seconds (44th).

Coach Albert Oke praised the 15‑year‑old’s rapid progress, noting that such improvement in a few weeks reflects immense talent, discipline and dedication. He highlighted her role as a potential trailblazer who could inspire the next generation of Indian speed climbers.

Personal coach Abhishek Mehta echoed the sentiment, calling Khosla’s performance a proud moment for Indian sport, not merely for the result but for the years of hard work and commitment it represents.
