Indian Rifle Shooters and Coach Recognised in 2025 National Sports Awards

At the 2025 National Sports Awards, the National Rifle Association of India celebrated four members of its shooting family. Veteran rifle shooter Akhil Shyoran, a regular in the 50‑meter three‑position event, secured the Arjun Award after topping selection trials earlier this year. Dhanush Srivakant broke the world record in the 10‑meter air rifle deaf category at the Tokyo Deaflympics, while Rudransh Khandelwal, a leading para‑shooter, added more medals from Asian Para Games and the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Coach Neha Nandakumar Chavan was lauded with the Dronacharya Award for building a robust athlete pipeline.
