Indian Army's 15 Competitors Secure 16 Medals at Commonwealth Games

The Indian Army fielded fifteen participants at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and returned with sixteen medals: eight gold, seven silver and one bronze. The medals came from boxing, athletics, para‑athletics, judo and weightlifting. Notable performances included Havildar Harsh Singh’s gold in the men’s 60kg judo category, Naib Subedar Preeti’s gold in women’s 54kg boxing, and Subedar Jasmine Lamboria’s gold in the women’s 57kg class. The service’s athletes also earned silver medals in para‑shot put, hammer throw, and a range of weight categories in boxing. General Dhiraj Seth, the Army chief, met the winners, lauding their commitment and encouraging them to target even greater achievements at future global events.
