The crowd celebrated as the final moments ticked away. Prior to the final, India dominated China with a 7-0 win in the Super 4s, with multiple players contributing goals. Shilanand Lakra initiated the scoring in the final, capitalizing on a pass from Harmanpreet Singh to Jarmanpreet Singh. Harmanpreet Singh stated that their focus now shifts to the World Cup.
