India’s Male Shooters Reach Finals in 10m Air Rifle at Asian Para Games

The men’s 10 meter air rifle SH1 qualification in Nagoya also showcased Indian talent. Rakesh Nidagundi posted 619.3 points, securing the seventh spot and a place in the final round. Close behind, Swaroop Unhalkar recorded 617.4 points, finishing eighth and also advancing to the finals.

Anand Krishnan missed the cut, finishing thirteenth with 605.2 points. Despite the setback, the presence of two Indian shooters in the final underscores the growing competitiveness of India’s paralympic shooting squad.

These results follow a strong start for Indian athletes at the games, complementing recent successes in para‑archery and women's compound shooting.
