India loses toss, West Indies open with aggressive start

The Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow hosted the first T20 between India and the West Indies on October 6. India lost the toss and was forced to bat first. The visiting Caribbean team capitalised on the early overs, with Hope and Puran adding quick runs, followed by a solid partnership between Hope and Rutherford that steadied the innings after several wickets fell. The West Indies' strategic aggression resulted in a target of 172 runs, putting the home side under pressure.
