India wrapped up the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games with a commendable count of 13 gold, 17 silver and 9 bronze medals, landing fourth on the medal table. The nation celebrated several firsts: in judo, Asmita De and Harsh Singh each captured gold, delivering India’s inaugural double‑gold performance in the discipline. Boxing produced a remarkable ten‑medal tally, with seven golds, while female boxers contributed five of those golds. Long‑distance runner Gulveer Singh earned a silver in the 10,000 m and a bronze in the 5,000 m, becoming the first Indian to win two track medals at a single Commonwealth event. Weightlifting star Mirabai Chanu secured her third consecutive Commonwealth gold, a world‑first hat‑trick, and Lovpreet Singh set a new Games record to take silver in the snatch. The para‑sport contingent added seven medals, highlighted by Sharmila Dhanakadi’s historic gold in shot put, Dilip Mahadu Gavit’s gold in the men’s 100 m T47, and Soman Rana’s gold in shot put.
