Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Sports Academy witnessed a batting masterclass as India A defeated USA by 38 runs in the second warm-up match for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup. Narayan Jagdishan’s unforgettable 104 was the highlight, propelling his side to an imposing 238 for 3.
Sent in to bat, India A’s innings exploded from the outset. The opening duo of Priyansh Arya and Jagdishan raced to 43 in four overs before Arya was dismissed for 28 (13 balls, 3×4, 2×6). Jagdishan then unleashed havoc alongside Tilak Varma, forging a 113-run stand in 55 balls. Varma’s 38 (24 balls, 3×4, 2×6) provided perfect support.
Captain Ayush Badoni joined the fray next, and their 73-run partnership in 35 balls took India A to a colossal total. Jagdishan’s 55-ball ton included 11 boundaries and four massive sixes, ending his stay at 104. Badoni’s unbeaten 60 (26 balls, 6×4, 4×6) sealed a daunting score.
USA’s bowlers struggled, with only Ali Khan, Jasdeep Singh, and Shubham Ranjane claiming a wicket apiece.
In reply, USA’s top order crumbled early despite a promising 32-run opening stand between Monank Patel (10 off 7) and Andries Gous. Mukkamalla’s golden duck left them at 33 for 2. Gous top-scored with 44 (31 balls), partnering Milind Kumar for 39 runs.
Brief resistance came from Shubham Ranjane and Sanjay Krishnamurthy’s 64-run stand, and Mohsin-Harmeet Singh’s 35, but the target proved too steep. USA managed 200 all out in 19.4 overs.
India A’s bowlers dominated: Ravi Bishnoi (3/27), Khaleel Ahmed (2 wickets), Naman Dhir (2), and singles from Ashok Kumar, Tilak Varma, and Badoni. A morale-boosting victory for the Indian contenders.
