India's 249‑Run Total Fell Short After Dropping Shreyas Aiyer

India's innings of 249/5 was anchored by Sanju Samson's 82 and Tilak Varma's unbeaten 44. Shreyas Iyer, who later scored 40 off 18 balls with three sixes and three fours, was not utilized at the crucial stage when the chase accelerated. The decision to replace him with Shivam Dubey reduced the momentum, and the side could not keep pace with West Indies' brisk scoring, culminating in a six‑wicket defeat.
