India Post 191/8 in Final T20 Despite Milne's Four-Wicket Haul

Hamilton, November 1: India posted 191 for 8 in the fifth T20 against New Zealand at Seddon Park, despite a memorable four-wicket spell from Adam Milne that restricted the visitors for long periods.

Milne gave away only 19 runs in his four overs. He removed Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, earning a place among the best bowling performances by a New Zealander against India in T20 internationals.

Mitchell Santner, who captains New Zealand, won the toss and opted to field. The early overs belonged to the hosts, with Samson and Abhishek falling within the first four overs.

From 2 for 2, India rebuilt through a partnership of 93 runs in 43 balls between Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer for the third wicket. Kishan's innings of 61 off 32 balls included five fours and five sixes, while Iyer made 50 off 23 balls.

The innings slowed slightly after the partnership ended. Tilak Varma was out for 6 to Nathan Smith. Naman Dhir made 33 off 23 balls with four fours and a six.

Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 22 off 17 balls before Bhuvneshwar Kumar fell for 6. Smith and Blair Tickner each claimed two wickets.

The result of the match did not change the series outcome, as India had already secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20 series.
