IND vs NZ Test: New Zealand Cricket Board has announced its team for the 3 test match series against India. The series will start on October 16 in Bengaluru, while the second Test will be played in Pune from October 24 and the third in Mumbai from November 1. New Zealand’s star batsman Kane Williamson will not be able to play in the initial matches of this series.
It is difficult for Kane Williamson to play in the second Test against Sri Lanka due to a groin injury. Although he has been included in the team, but considering his injury, he will initially be out of the team and will undergo rehabilitation. Team selector Sam Wells has expressed hope that Williamson can join the team in the middle of the series. Mark Chapman has been included in his place as cover.
Bracewell will return after the first test
All-rounder Michael Bracewell will return home after the first Test for the birth of his second child. In his place, Ish Sodhi will be part of the team for the last two Test matches.
New Zealand’s new captain
Tom Latham has been made the new captain of the team. Tim Southee resigned from captaincy after losing the Test series against Sri Lanka.
