Ravindra Jadeja did take 3 wickets in the first innings, but he proved costly in the second innings and did not take any wickets. Even with the bat he scored only 5 runs. In this way he became the second biggest villain.
R Ashwin
Ashwin’s performance with both ball and bat was poor. He did not get any wicket in the first innings, and took only 1 wicket in the second innings. Ashwin failed to show his magic with the bat also.

A big innings was expected from Jaiswal along with Rohit Sharma, but he was able to score 12 runs in the first innings and 35 runs in the second. He was out only when India needed a partnership, due to which the team had to suffer the consequences.

Team India’s star fast bowler Mohammad Siraj took 2 wickets in the first innings, but he failed to take wickets in the second innings.
Rachin Ravindra became player of the match
The hero of New Zealand’s victory was Rachin Ravindra, who was adjudged player of the match. He scored 134 runs in the first innings and 39 unbeaten runs in the second innings. His unbeaten partnership of 75 runs with Will Young led New Zealand to victory.
