Mumbai A 15-member Team India has been announced for the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand. Jasprit Bumrah has been appointed vice-captain in the team playing under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. Whereas Uttar Pradesh fast bowler Yash Dayal has been dropped from the team.
The original 16-man squad announced for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh has been retained for the New Zealand Test series, with Dayal being the only player left out. Jasprit Bumrah has been made the vice-captain and a message has been given for the Australia tour, because there are reports that regular Test captain Rohit Sharma may miss the first match of the series for the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar Trophy.
