ICC May Officially Announce Ganguly’s Hall of Fame Entry at July Meeting
The International Cricket Council is slated to formally announce Saurav Ganguly’s induction into its Hall of Fame during the annual meeting scheduled for July 11. The move follows a social media celebration where Ganguly thanked ICC chief Jay Shah for the recognition and noted the honour of being one of ten Indians in the prestigious roll.
Sachin Tendulkar, a fellow Hall of Famer, posted a heartfelt message on X, recalling their 14‑year friendship and extending his congratulations. Ganguly, turning 54, responded with gratitude, calling the inclusion a “great satisfaction.”
Ganguly’s addition joins a list that already features two women cricketers and other Indian greats such as Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, and MS Dhoni.
