Hope joins elite with 162* in ODI chase, equalling Gill's 2019 feat

Shai Hope’s unbeaten 162 in the third ODI placed him among an exclusive group of batsmen who have scored 162 or more while chasing a target. The Caribbean captain matched Chris Gill’s 162 against England in 2019 and surpassed Sri Lanka’s Tilakaratne Dilshan’s 160 against India in 2009. His innings, complemented by Amir Jangoo’s 67 and Kieron Pollard’s 44, helped West Indies finish the chase in 48.2 overs, winning by five wickets.
