Historic 55‑Run Dismissal Marks Pakistan’s Worst T20I Score

In a landmark encounter at Dubai on September 5, Pakistan’s women’s cricket team recorded their lowest ever T20 International total – 55 runs – in the ninth match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026.

Winning the toss, Pakistan elected to bat, but the top order collapsed quickly. Muniba Ali and Shaval Zulfikar added just 27 runs before being dismissed for 13 and 14. The middle order offered negligible support: Gul Firouza was out for a golden duck, Aysha Jafar contributed only two runs, and Sadaf Shamas managed three before a clean bowled. Captain Fatima Sana was also dismissed without adding to the scoreboard, falling to Deepthi Sharma’s spin.

India’s spin quartet – Shri Charani, Prema Rawat, Deepthi Sharma, and Shefali Verma – dismantled the batting line‑up. Charani’s four‑over spell produced three wickets for seven runs, Rawat claimed three wickets for nine runs, and Sharma captured two wickets in 3.1 overs for just five runs.

While chasing a modest 56‑run target, India required only 8.4 overs and lost three wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur anchored the innings with an unbeaten 18, and Deepthi Sharma added a steady 12 runs. The win by seven wickets not only secured a valuable series point for India but also cemented their reputation as a spin‑driven powerhouse.

The 55‑run total eclipses Pakistan’s previous low of 56 runs set against New Zealand in 2024, marking a new low point in their T20I history.
