Harmanpreet and Deepti Tons Lead India Past Zimbabwe in Vadodara

India produced a dominant all-round display to beat Zimbabwe by 121 runs in the second women's ODI at Vadodara's BCA Stadium on Sunday. The victory puts India 2-0 up in the three-match series with one game left.

India had already won the T20I series 3-0 in Raipur, and the hosts took the first ODI by nine wickets. The final match is scheduled for October 28 in Vadodara.

India were reduced to 19 for two after Smriti Mandhana (0) and Shafali Verma (8) fell early. Harmanpreet Kaur then took charge, forming a 124-run partnership in 118 balls with Pratika Rawal for the third wicket. Rawal scored 61 off 67 balls.

The innings was rebuilt again when Harmanpreet joined Deepti Sharma. Their 153-run stand came off 137 balls for the fifth wicket and carried the team past 300. Harmanpreet made 126 off 121 balls with 15 fours, and Deepti remained unbeaten on 106 off 86 balls, also with 15 fours. India's total was 328 for six.

Zimbabwe's chase began steadily. Modesta Mupachikwa and Lauren Firi put on 38 runs for the first wicket, and Mupachikwa then added 69 with Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano for the second. Once Mugeri-Tiripano fell for 46 off 57 balls, the visitors lost wickets at regular intervals.

Mupachikwa scored 49 with nine fours, and Belinda Bija made 34. Nomvelo Sibanda took two wickets for the visitors. Zimbabwe were bowled out for 207 in 48.5 overs.

Vaishnavi Sharma led the bowling attack with four wickets for 39 runs. Deepti Sharma added three wickets, while Saiyali Satghare, Jintimani Kalita and Sree Charani took one each.
