Hall extends stay at St James' Park after impressive cup run

Luis Hall has signed a new long‑term contract with Newcastle United, extending his stay at St James’ Park until 2031. The defender, now 22, first linked up with the club as a youngster in 2023 and has already logged 107 matches for the Magpies.

Hall arrived on loan, debuting in an 8‑0 victory over Sheffield United before the club made his transfer permanent in July 2024. His contributions during the 2024/25 Carabao Cup were decisive, featuring in every round, though a knee injury barred him from the final. Additionally, Hall has appeared in 11 UEFA Champions League games.

Speaking about the new deal, Hall said representing Newcastle and its fans brings him immense pride, and he aims to keep the supporters smiling. Head coach Matthias Jaissle called Hall a key player whose development aligns perfectly with the team’s objectives, noting that Hall’s best performances are still to come.
