Great Khali Donates ₹5 Lakh and Urges Nationwide Solidarity After Assam Floods

In response to the catastrophic floods that have inundated large parts of Assam, The Great Khali arrived in the flood‑hit village of Dorika Kawarta on August 20. He handed out relief materials that included dry rations, clean drinking water, and temporary bedding.

While speaking with local media, Khali thanked the non‑governmental organisations that have been swift in delivering aid and highlighted the vital role of news outlets in raising awareness across the country. He conveyed his deep sorrow for the victims and reiterated his commitment to assist.

The wrestler made a direct appeal to famous Indian cinema artists and cricket legends, asking them to travel to the affected region. "Your presence, even for an hour, can lift spirits and spotlight the urgent needs," he said.

Khali confirmed a two‑day stay in the area, contributed ₹5 lakh of his own funds, and made it clear that no commercial sponsorship would be accepted. He concluded by expressing hope that the government will match private and NGO efforts to bring comprehensive relief.
