Grandmaster and International Master Norms Earned at Asian Junior Chess Championship

The 2026 Asian Junior Classical Chess Championship proved to be a fertile ground for title norms. Mayank Chakravarti’s victory in the Open section secured his third Grandmaster norm, moving him closer to the coveted title.

Daksh Goyal’s bronze‑medal performance earned him both a FIDE Master title and an International Master norm, marking a significant milestone in his career. On the women’s side, Pratiti Boradloi’s gold‑medal win brought the Woman International Master title and a Woman Grandmaster norm. Both Maria Kholyavko of Kazakhstan and India’s Nivedita VC achieved Woman International Master norms, adding to their growing résumé.
