Gold Medal Triumph Fuels Dream of Deputy Superintendent Role

Prachi Choudhary’s gold‑medal performance at the Asian Games has set the stage for her long‑awaited appointment as Deputy Superintendent of Police under Uttar Pradesh’s sports incentive scheme. The 29‑year‑old sprinter affirmed that her family’s pride and the chance to inspire the next generation of Indian athletes are central to her motivation.

She described the relay strategy: the team focused on maintaining a lead while swapping batons, with Choudhary taking the critical third leg before passing the baton to Vithya Ramraj. Their collective effort secured the top podium spot.

Beyond personal accolades, Choudhary expressed gratitude to national leaders and sports bodies, emphasizing that the consistent backing from the government has elevated the sporting ecosystem, making it possible for athletes to transition into respected public service roles.
