Girls Rapid Competition Tightens as Six Players Share 3.5 Points

In stark contrast to the open section, the Girls Rapid competition at the Asian Junior Chess Championship has produced a tightly knit leaderboard. After four rounds, six young women are tied at 3.5 points each, making the race for the girls' title exceptionally close.

The six leaders include Turkmenistan’s Rejepova Jahan, India's Nivedita VC, Shravyashree B., Pratiti Bordoloi, Uzbekistan’s Begamurotova Servinaz and Akshaya Sathi. All remain unbeaten, keeping hopes for a dramatic finale alive.

A second tier of seven contestants trails by a single point, keeping the medal contention vibrant. With three rounds left, every half‑point gained or lost will shape the ultimate podium.

The championship is organized in partnership with the All India Chess Federation, the Asian Chess Federation, and the Maharashtra Chess Association.
