Acquired for 2 crores in the auction, Hasaranga’s injury is a setback, but Linde steps in at 1 crore base price. This will be the South African’s first IPL stint, and fans are eager to see how his experience translates to the league’s high-octane environment.
Linde’s resume is impressive: 37 T20Is for South Africa with 35 wickets and 403 runs, plus extensive domestic T20 exposure across 250-plus games. His left-arm spin and handy lower-order batting make him a perfect fit for LSG’s balanced lineup.
